Sizing the Octagon to match your fire pit
Our new octagon shape is designed to be esthetically pleasing under a round fire pit.
DeckProtect is built to be quite strong and should be able to support the weight of your fire pit. Therefore, you can place your fire pit on top of the Deck Protect, in which case you need to be sure the legs of your fire pit will fit within the sides of the octagon.

IMPORTANT: It is best to choose a DeckProtect size that is big enough for the feet of the fire pit to fit within the frame and rest on the basalt surface. The illustrations below are designed to show you the minimum size octagon based on the measurement from the outside of one foot or leg to the outside of the next foot or leg.

If you have a 3-Legged Fire Pit, you will get a better fit with a DeckProtect Hexagon.
