About Our Basic DeckProtect™
Available with unfinished aluminum frame and four popular sizes
Recently, we phased out our "Standard" version of DeckProtect and replaced it with our "Basic" version. We discovered that we could make a better product at lower cost. Basic is made with a welded aluminum frame that is natural aluminum and not powder coated. It is not as elegant as the Premium. The frame is only 1" high, which means that it may not rise above the top layer of basalt board. It does not look as good as a the Premium frame, but it has the same size hard rubber feet raising the frame 3/4" above the deck, the same two layers of basalt board, and exactly the same level of protection for your deck.
We can serve you best if we know what type of fire pit you will be using.
Each DeckProtect is made to order to meet the specific needs of the customer. We like to match the footing support under the tray to the particular type of fire pit. Some fire pits are supported on a base under the center of the fire bowl, and some are supported on a base or legs at the perimeter of the fire bowl. Therefore please let us know by email the type of fire pit you have as well as the measurements if you know them. Email: sales@deckprotect.com
About Our Premium DeckProtect
Available as a square, octagon, or hexagon in multiple sizes and four powder coat color options.
Two layers tiles of basalt fiber made from volcanic rock pressed into boards provide a fire-proof heat shield. Aluminum extrusion and sheet aluminum are welded into a sturdy frame. Hard rubber feet raise DeckProtect 3/4" above the deck for air flow.
The frame is powder coated with a choice of four colors.

HOW DECKPROTECT IS MADE
Each DeckProtect is hand crafted in our shop in South Carolina. In order to be able to offer so many different sizes in square and octagon shape as well as custom builds to match your fire pit or fire table and to be able to offer a range of colors, we make DeckProtect to order for each customer. Note: The copper color was discontinued for a time because we were having difficulty with it, so it is not in the shopping cart. If you want copper, please let us know by email.
